Thorsmork Hiking Tour for Women Over 50

Duration
3 days
Season
June through September
Group size
Up to 32 people
Difficulty
Beginner to advanced

Winding through three major glaciers, Laugavegur’s Thorsmork trails take you through dramatic landscapes and some of Iceland’s most scenic and versatile treks. Thorsmork, known as the end-point of Iceland’s legendary Laugavegur trek, abounds with mossy gulches, cooling lava falls, and Iceland’s signature black deserts, enveloped from all directions by bright green mountains and craggy peaks. The landscape variety lends itself to some captivating hikes—one minute you’re visiting a craggy cave while marveling at cooling lava falls, the next you’re crossing a braided glacier stream surrounded by mossy greenery. And while the scenery may be rugged, the hikes certainly aren’t—the island’s trail network is rich and well-developed, meaning women of all ages and fitness levels can experience the joy that is hiking Iceland’s Laugavegur trek. Dedicate three days of your golden years to Iceland, and come out a stronger and more confident woman.
