  • Discover Croatia’s epic coastline and islands on this beginner-friendly guided mountain biking and sailing trip! Take in Croatia’s breathtaking nature and stunning shores, and explore ancient Greek settlements, old Dalmatian monasteries, and WWII monuments on some of Europe’s most scenic mountain biking trails. Unwind on Croatia’s finest beaches and party hubs, taste local wines and delicacies, and sleep on a catamaran under the starry Mediterranean skies!

    • Arrive in Zagreb, Croatia, where you’ll meet your guide. After transfer to the apartment and a bike check, enjoy an introductory ride on Medvednica mountain, a scenic nature park right on the outskirts of Zagreb. Cap the day off with a dinner and some beer tasting in a local brewery.

NOTE: If you wish, you can completely skip the Day 0 itinerary and meet your guide in Split on day 1.

    • Make your way to Dalmatia, marking the start of the tour proper. Have lunch before embarking on your trip to the island of Brač. After a safety briefing, board your catamaran and head for Milna, a traditional Dalmatian village on Brač. Spend the afternoon sightseeing and enjoy a traditional dinner by the seaside.

    • Head out for a 12-mile (20 km) bike ride from Milna to Blaca bay. The ride starts as a challenging uphill but turns into a nice, rocky singletrack. Halfway down the trail, you’ll visit a 500-year-old monastery called the Blaca hermitage, a stunning landmark crafted fully in stone by the monks of old. The ride ends on a beautiful beach, where a boat will be waiting for you.

After a swim break, depart to the island of Hvar, where you’ll spend the night in Stari Grad, an ancient Greek settlement and the oldest town in Croatia.

    • Today, you’ll ride the trail from Stari Grad to the town of Hvar, cycling across UNESCO-protected ancient Greek fields. Your sailboat will wait for you in a bay nearby. The town of Hvar is one of Croatia’s best-known party hot spots. Spend the night there, or head directly for the island of Vis.

    • After a filling breakfast, choose how to spend day 5. You can ride hard (not recommended if you partied hard the night before), or take it easy and visit the world-famous Stiniva beach, located in a picturesque cove surrounded by massive cliffs. Afterwards, you can choose to visit one of the many post-WWII bunkers on the island before heading out to do some evening wine tasting.

    • Back to Brač. Brač is the highest island in the Adriatic, and today you’re going straight to the top! After a difficult uphill, ride some nice and long technicals. On your way back to the boat, visit a welcoming local family for some olive oil and wine tasting. Indulge in a local dinner there before heading back to your boat.

    • Head to Omiš, an ancient pirate town and Dalmatia’s MTB mecca! Today you’ll ride one of the best trails and drink one of the best beers in Croatia.

    • From Omiš, ride to Split or the medieval town of Trogir, depending on how fit you feel. If you’re up for it, you can take an optional bike ride to Čiovo, an island near Trogir, or explore Marjan hill, a 400-ft (123 m) high forest park with breathtaking panoramic views of Split and its surroundings.

    • Disembark from your sailboat and head back to Zagreb. If you want to see some epic waterfalls, stop by Plitvička Jezera, the most famous national park in Croatia, on your way back. If you’re still in the mood for adventure, enjoy an optional bike ride in Zagreb, a tour of the city, or both!
