Below the town, 12 miles of picturesque riviera with numerous fishing villages provide a perfect escape from the tourist-crowded streets. The smell of the Adriatic sea and its flora are addicting, and most people who visit seem to come back every year. However, many visitors overlook what may be one of the biggest perks of  Omiš — the abundance of adventure sports opportunities! Whether you’re in the mood for riding a zipline over the massive Cetina canyon, rafting or kayaking in the nearby lakes and streams, or free-climbing the magnificent Mirabela and Fortica cliffs, you’ll have a blast here! And the absolute standouts here must be the superb mountain biking routes, with numerous thrilling trails nestled between the sea and the mountains.   • The itinerary below is a suggested framework designed to give you an overview of the incredible experiences the Croatian coast has to offer. Your guides will work closely with you to personalize every aspect of your trip, ensuring it aligns with your preferences.

    Whether you wish to explore a specific destination, adjust the pace of your hiking and biking (or skip them altogether), dive deeper into the region’s fascinating history, or simply unwind with exceptional local cuisine and wine, your experience will be fully customized to meet your exact desires.

  • Upon arrival at Split Airport, a VIP transfer will take you to Marina Kaštela where your sailboat, guides, and crew await. After a safety briefing around 4pm, board your sailboat, treat yourself to a welcome drink, and head for Milna, a traditional Dalmatian village on Brač island. If you’re up for it, your guide will take you on a trial bike ride to assess your skill and fitness level. Alternatively, you can swap the wheels for a scenic hike or stay and relax on your sailboat.

    For dinner, head out to a local spot with your guides or enjoy a gourmet, chef-prepared dinner right on the boat. Spend the night in the harbor or anchored under the stars—the choice is yours!

  • Wake up on the island of Brač, the third largest island in the Adriatic. Enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast on board, then head out hiking or biking! A local highlight is the 500-year-old Blaca Monastery, a stunning landmark crafted fully in stone by the monks of old. You can explore the library, a historical collection of bishop’s clocks, the second oldest telescope in Europe, a small school, and period artefacts.

    After a swim break, set sail to the island of Hvar and your next destination: Stari Grad, an ancient Greek settlement, cultural hub for the Renaissance nobility, and the oldest town in Croatia.

  • We’ll kick off the day by exploring the beauty of Hvar, Croatia’s sunniest island! There are endless options to choose from—cycling across UNESCO-protected ancient Greek fields from Stari Grad to Hvar Town, hiking past dry stone walls and olive groves to the lavender viewpoint, and visiting the 16th-century Španjola Fortress are just some of the highlights of this magnificent island.

    The town of Hvar is not only a treasure trove of history, but also one of Croatia’s best-known party hot spots. Stay in Hvar and explore its nightlife, dock and relax in a quieter spot, or head directly for the island of Vis.

  • Vis is a truly special corner of the Adriatic. The farthest inhabited island off the Croatian mainland, Vis is home to ancient Greek ruins, historical military tunnels from WWII, stunning beaches, and unique local wines.

    After a filling breakfast, choose how you’ll spend your time on Vis! Cycle or hike around the island, or kick back on the famous Stiniva Beach, situated in a beautiful cove enclosed by massive cliffs. Afterwards, head on a unique guided military tour and explore the post-WWII bunkers on the island. In the evening, enjoy a wine tasting session of the island’s finest.

  • The island of Brač is worth coming back to for many things, but especially the olive oil, the wine, and the views from the top! Brač boasts the highest island peak of the Adriatic, Vidova Gora, with beautiful trails for hiking and biking alike leading up to the top. From there, enjoy a magnificent view of Zlatni Rat beach, Biokovo mountain, and surrounding islands. Then, visit a welcoming local family and taste traditional dishes, homemade olive oil, and some truly exceptional wine before heading back to your sailboat.

  • One of the options for today is to head back to the mainland and visit Omiš, an ancient pirate town and Dalmatia’s MTB mecca! Here you can ride some terrific trails and drink one of the best beers in Croatia.

    If you’d rather stick to the islands, set sail to Čiovo and explore its stunning beaches, ancient settlements, and medieval churches. Alternatively, head to Korčula Island—the birthplace of Marco Polo! There, you can visit a well-preserved medieval town with Venetian architecture, taste its indigenous grape varieties and high-quality wines, or just let your guides lead the way to the best local gems.

  • From Omiš (or wherever you settled on going the day before), go to Split, the largest city in Dalmatia, or Kaštela, an agglomeration of seven settlements, each with a notable castle with unique architectural features and historical narratives. If you’re in Split, explore Marjan hill, a 400-ft (123 m) high forest park with breathtaking panoramic views of Split and its surroundings. You’ll enjoy Kaštela for its deep historical background: the area originally served as a crucial port for ancient Greek sailors and later as a summer retreat for Croatian kings.

  • After a final hearty breakfast, pack up and disembark your sailboat by 9am. A VIP transfer will pick you up and drive you to Split Airport.     Mountain bike and eBike rentals are available for added fees of $40 (€35) and $55 (€45) respectively.

  • You will need to be able to bike between two and six hours, depending on the routes you and your guide choose. After booking, your guide will determine the group’s skill level and capabilities and cater the day to your specific abilities. Keep in mind that opting for the longer routes means more biking, which is strenuous even if you stay on the easier trails.

  • This adventure is meant for riders with some experience who are confident in their abilities. You will need to be able to tackle most regular obstacles on a trail, such as berms, small tables, gaps, or drops. You will progress at a level that is consistent with your comfort. This tour provides the ideal opportunity to take your mountain biking skills to a new level.

    • Wear comfortable riding or athletic clothing, preferably moisture-wicking or synthetic material 
    • Sneakers or sport shoes
    • Breathable outside layer or jacket
    • Sunglasses
    • Plenty of water, water bottle, or hydration bladder
    • All-mountain, trail, enduro, or E-bike with full suspension (can be rented)
    • Daypack
    • Elbow pads, knee pads, back protection, biking gloves are recommended

    • Toiletries (sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray, toilet paper, etc.)

    Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season. Layers are best and don’t wear jeans.

  • Group sizes and prices:

    • For this tour, the usual guest-to-guide ratio is 6:1. 
    • Cost is per person and it doesn’t decrease as the group grows.

    Mountain biking in the Omiš area can be arranged for bigger groups. Contact us prior to booking.

    Min. age requirements:

    • If you are older than 18, you’re good to go.
    • Minors as young as 10 may go on trips with a legal guardian. That said, if you have a young rider strong enough to handle sustained climbs (either riding or walking their bike) of hundreds of feet, and rough terrain, then they may be able to participate on a case-by-case basis. 

    If your group has riders under the age of 18, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

  • To get to Omis, most people fly into Split International Airport half an hour away. From there, you can rent a car, or take a bus or cab to Omis.

    Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet, whether that’s at the Sumpetar beach in Omis or a predetermined location.

  • Cancel within 48 hours of booking your trip for free, no questions asked. If you need to change your plans up to 31 days ahead of your scheduled adventure, we offer a full refund on most trips. Within 31 days we offer free date changes or the option to convert your booking to credit to use on any 57hours adventure at a later date.
