If you’re looking for the best possible image of hiking in the American Northeast, look no further than Maine’s Acadia National Park. In these 50,000 acres of stunning hinterlands, you’ll find over 150 miles of hiking trails, ranging from rocky coastal strolls to steep leg-burners (including some wrought-iron ladder climbs). The options here are endless, but the real highlight has to be the sea-to-summit hikes. Trails like the Gorham Mountain and Beehive loops will take you across all four seasons in the span of a few hours—from the maritime-influenced shoreline, through the dense, colorful woodlands, and up to the sea-spritzed peaks. This diversity and richness of landscapes makes Acadia a top-tier hiking destination, one that’s sure to stick with you long after you leave its shores.
When COVID hit, like many people I was left wondering how Id find time to relax in a safe environment. I might be a little anxious about the virus (elderly parents to care for etc) and the escape we had with Good Trip Adventures was, as you might say, exactly what the doctor ordered. We did a multi-day tour and their guides were the best! I felt comfortable the entire time (social distancing measures in full effect) and I had one of the best vacations of my life (including pre-covid times!). We even saw a bear! I’m already dreaming of our next trip. Highly recommend.
