Explore Rock Canyon, one of the most secluded and remote locations in Zion, on this 8-10 hour tour. A seasoned local guide will accompany you as you experience 5-7 rappels, wade or swim through refreshing waters, try some light scrambling, and uncover a prehistoric petroglyph panel! For the standard Half-Day and Full-Day tours, if you can climb a ladder, you’re good to go. Being in good shape is always a plus but far from necessary. Canyoneering is all about using good movement technique rather than traversing cliffs and valleys using brute strength. To ensure you have a fun day, your guide will choose routes that best suit your skill and fitness level.
The Ultimate and Off-Road tours are more strenuous and require excellent fitness levels. You’ll be canyoneering for 7-10 hours, doing an hour or two of difficult hiking, as well as some scrambling.
-
For the standard Half-Day and Full-Day tours, no prior climbing, rappelling, or scrambling experience is necessary. Whether you’ve never donned a harness or you’re a seasoned hiker and climber, a guide will help you meet your individual objectives. Above all, your instructor’s number one priority is your safety. As long as you listen to the given instructions, you’ll succeed in completing your tour.
The Ultimate and Off-Road tours are more advanced, so some canyoneering and rappelling experience is recommended.
