Depending on the chosen date and region, you’ll fly to Ålesund (Sunnmøre), Harstad (Lofoten), Bardufoss (Senja), Tromsø (Lyngen) or Alta (Finmark).
To get to Sunnmøre, most people fly into Ålesund Airport, Vigra, about 20 minutes away from Sunnmøre. To get to the Lofoten Islands, most people fly into Harstad/Narvik Airport. To get to Senja, most people fly into Bardufoss Airport, just under 1.5 hours away from Senja. To get to Lyngen Alps, most people fly into Tromsø Airport, Langnes. To get to Finnmark, most people fly into Alta Airport.
You will choose one location and arrive at an airport. Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary and you get to your desired location in Norway, you’ll meet others at the airport and your guiding service will pick you up and transfer to the sailing ship in the harbor, where your adventure will begin. The guide will choose the appropriate terrain dependent on conditions and the ability of the group.
After the last tour day, you’ll be transferred back to the harbor, spend the night in a hotel, and you’ll be taken to the airport the next morning. You’ll then fly back to your country of origin.
Swimming in ice cold water after a day of ski touring. Fresh fish for dinner, straight from the fjord. The trip to the Lyngen Alps really had everything I love in one program. The combination of skiing in an incredibly beautiful Norwegian mountain landscape with views over the fjords and sailing through the fjord in search of the mountain of tomorrow, was unique and challenging.
