How fit do I need to be?

You will need to be able to bike between three and five hours, depending on the itinerary you choose. After booking, your guide will determine the group’s skill level and capabilities and cater the day to your specific abilities. Keep in mind, opting for the full day option means more biking, which is strenuous even if you stay on beginner level trails.

What if I’ve never mountain biked before?

For the beginner tour, as long as you pedal on two wheels, you can book this adventure! A guide will explain the different mountain bike techniques and body positions to get you feeling comfortable on the trial. You will progress at a level that is consistent with your comfort. Once you finally get the hang of trail riding, you will only want more!

What do I need to bring?

Here’s a list of the things we suggest you bring: A rain jacket or shell in case of bad weather Sneakers or sport shoes Breathable outside layer or jacket Sunglasses Daypack with snacks Biking gloves are optional but recommended Toiletries (sunscreen, hand sanitizer, bug spray, toilet paper, etc.) Wear comfortable riding or athletic clothing, preferably moisture wicking or synthetic material. Dress comfortably and for the weather in clothes you can move in. We suggest bringing clothing appropriate for the season and don’t wear jeans.

For this adventure, the max client-to-guide ratio is 8:1 on the beginner rides and 6:1 on the advanced rides. A minimum of 2 participants is required for the tours to run. The cost is per person and does not decrease as the group grows. Mountain biking in Park City can be arranged for larger groups. Contact us to make arrangements. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to book these tours. Children as young as 10 are able to go on trips with a legal guardian. That said, if you have a young rider strong enough to handle sustained climbs (either riding or walking their bike) of hundreds of feet, and rough terrain, then they may be able to participate on a case-by-case basis. If your party has minors younger than 18 years old, contact us prior to booking to make arrangements.

Getting there and meeting location

To get to Park City, most people fly into Salt Lake City International Airport. Once you land at Salt Lake City International Airport, Park City is only a 45-minute ride from the airport. From there, you can take a bus, a van or taxi. The Express Shuffle also has regular lines from SLC to Park City. If you wish to rent a car, Hertz is the official car rental company of Park City. Once you and your guide agree on the details of your itinerary, your guide will suggest the best place to meet. Most of the tours and lessons start from the White Pine Nordic Center location. The guide will choose the appropriate terrain dependent on conditions and ability of the group.

Both guides were awesome, polite, very informative, and catered to our every need. They even picked us up from our rental house to go on the hike/bike tour and provided us with snacks and water.
